Planning my Spontaneity?

One of the biggest fears of a 20-something living in the city is the Fear of Missing Out.  Or FOMO if you are prone to creating silly acronyms for every word that comes out of your mouth.  Totes obvs, right?  But in reality, that fear of missing out can be quite crippling, and then all of a sudden you find yourself with 4 dates for Friday night, a girls night and that extra report your boss suddenly remembered at 4pm on Friday?  Of course, he's on West Coast time so he doesn't realize that you are completely mentally checked out and he can, in your words, "suck it".  And at that point, the anxiety will set in and the idea of figuring out what to do is just so hard and in reality, all you want to do is be on your couch  watching reruns of Criminal Minds and playing with your (fictional) cat.

Well, unfortunately or fortunately for me, I have the opposite problem.  I have the fear of losing the plan, losing my future and therefore being just not right with everything in my life.  So I have a plan for everything - ask me what I am doing 4 weekends from now and I can probably tell you exactly what it is...down to the hour.  And that can really get on some people's nerves.  Apparently, knowing what is going on all the time can be quite abrasive.  So in order to appease some people in my life I am going to make some plans to be spontaneous.  Today, in being spontaneous, I created this blog and promised myself that I was going to be more spontaneous.  Yes, the answer is I am planning my spontaneity.   I am not sure how to do that but I imagine that if anyone can find a way to be spontaneous through a plan, its me.

For today - here is the perfect representation of how I feel.
